Fire boxes, municiple wiring and the associated receiving equipment have been in existence since the early 1800’s. Most New England states are the last in the country to convert their outdated municiple system to a more robust technology. Keltron is a great system to replace this outdated equipment. Fire panels\pull boxes at the customers site can be connected to a Keltron wireless radio eliminating the need to reuse old or bad wiring from the older munciple system. Alarm, Trouble and Supervisory signals along with the premise address are routed to the head-end municiple dispatch center and fire department personnel are dispatched. The Keltron system will further identify the exact device location that is causing the initial alarm to ring in. This differs greatly to the legacy system as they would not be able to determine this information until they arrive at the premise location. Keltron radio transmitters have the ability to communicate directly back to the receiving device. Numerous factors can potentially interfere with these signals. As more and more Keltron radios are added into the system, radio in the pathway will relay the information thus guarenteeing the information makes it to the receiving equipment. Multiple paths for a single radio can create further redundancy in the system. The ability is known as mesh networks and is well suited for the communication of critical fire alarm signals. Call today to schedule a demonstration of the Keltron system.
